Service: Develop and Deploy Business Strategies
We collaborate with clients to create desired direction, goals and technical plans. We help them position their strategy to take advantage of emerging markets and evolving technology. Our deployment methods assure that the whole system is aligned, top to bottom, in a way that dramatically accelerates business results. Service Highlight #1 A major software development conglomerate wanted to shift its sales strategy from face-to-face selling to an internet based model. In order to change the behavior of its workforce without losing sales because of internal resistance, the leadership knew it could not simply mandate this change. Instead, with the help of a PDA consultant, they gathered together a representation of the whole organization, a critical mass that had the blessings of others to made guiding decisions to ensure that employee input was utilized. Because of this effort, this software company did not lose market share as it transitioned a large percentage of its sales to the internet. Service Highlight # 1 Need a vision for the year 2020? Need to get your staff thinking way, way out of the box? Need to align a strategy for today with the world 10 or 20 years from now? Seems impossible given how fast things seem to be moving, doesn't it? That was the challenge at a NASA Lewis in Cleveland Ohio. Over the course of one year PDA designed and facilitated a strategic thinking process that led to: (1) 7 very different scenario's of what the world of Space and Technology might look like in 2020; (2) the development of 5 strategic initiatives, not currently being undertaken anywhere within the NASA research community; and (3) a strategy for the next 1-3 years for Lewis that differentiated it from its sister sites. PDA worked with a futures team, the executive leadership and a cross-section of over 100 scientists and engineers to craft a future for Lewis that has assured its funding sources and research agenda for the next 15 years.
